4 dangers to your health from sitting

Whether on public transport, at home or in the office, most of our lives are spent sitting. However, can this long-awaited comfort when you are tired be risky?

According to a study conducted by Cornell University, women who have spent more than 11 hours resting or sitting have a 12% higher risk of dying prematurely from any cause, compared to women who spend four hours or less of rest ; this regardless of whether you suffer from a chronic degenerative disease.

Dangerous comfort…

A report by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development indicates that Mexicans work an average of 2,250 hours per year. The problem that most jobs have is an office space and a chair.

Therefore, with information from the Huffington Post , we provide you with 3 risks of sitting all day.

1. It is related to cancer . According to epidemiologist Christine Friedenreich, lack of physical activity is related to the development of breast and colon cancer.

2. It makes your hip bigger . Pressure on certain parts of the body can produce up to 50% more fat than normal; example, the hips when sitting.

3. Heart attack. A study published by the journal Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise found that people who spend most of their time sitting increased their chances of dying from a heart attack by 54%.

4. Elevate your sugar. According to research from the University of Missouri, sitting for most of the day can put people at higher risk for diabetes , obesity, and fatty liver disease.

Adding 30 minutes of exercise to your daily routine, even if it will be a light walk, can make a big change for your health. Take care of yourself!
